Seltzer was the second and final owner of the original&nbsp;<a class=\"mw-redirect\" title=\"Roller Derby\" href=\"http:\/\/en.wikipedia.org\/wiki\/Roller_Derby\">Roller Derby<\/a>&nbsp;league Seltzer founded BASS Tickets, a&nbsp;<a title=\"San Francisco\" href=\"http:\/\/en.wikipedia.org\/wiki\/San_Francisco\">San Francisco<\/a>&nbsp;Bay Area concert ticket service. Donnelly, features a weekly celebrity Interview from Musicologist Shadoe Steele. MadPod producer Their show was one of the first to become part of&nbsp;<a title=\"Adam Curry\" href=\"http:\/\/en.wikipedia.org\/wiki\/Adam_Curry\">Adam Curry<\/a>&#8216;s&nbsp;<a class=\"mw-redirect\" title=\"PodShow\" href=\"http:\/\/en.wikipedia.org\/wiki\/PodShow\">PodShow<\/a>&nbsp;network, which at one point carried&nbsp;<a class=\"mw-redirect\" title=\"Dawn and Drew\" href=\"http:\/\/en.wikipedia.org\/wiki\/Dawn_and_Drew\">Dawn and Drew<\/a>&nbsp;over&nbsp;<a title=\"Sirius Satellite Radio\" href=\"http:\/\/en.wikipedia.org\/wiki\/Sirius_Satellite_Radio\">Sirius Satellite Radio<\/a>.\n\nAn early adopter of social media, Don\u00adnelly has sev\u00aderal years expe\u00adri\u00adence in&nbsp;<a class=\"nonblock\" href=\"http:\/\/madlymedia.com\/\" target=\"_blank\" rel=\"noopener noreferrer\">app devel\u00adop\u00adment,<\/a>&nbsp;tak\u00ading his apps to the top ten charts on iTunes in mul\u00adti\u00adple coun\u00adtries.\n\n<hr>\n\n<strong>EARLY YEARS<\/strong>\n\nIn the early days Donnelly was the original bass player for the band<a href=\"http:\/\/en.wikipedia.org\/wiki\/Where_Are_You_Now_(Jimmy_Harnen_%26_Synch_song)\" target=\"_blank\" rel=\"noopener noreferrer\"> Synch<\/a>&nbsp;formed in 1985, with <a href=\"http:\/\/en.wikipedia.org\/wiki\/Jimmy_Harnen\" target=\"_blank\" rel=\"noopener noreferrer\">Jimmy Harnen<\/a> as the drummer. The band&#8217;s other members were lead vocalist Lou Butwin, guitarist Dave Abraham, bassist James A. Donnelly (who is currently a prominent figure in broadcasting and podsafe music movement<sup id=\"cite_ref-1\" class=\"reference\"><a href=\"http:\/\/en.wikipedia.org\/wiki\/Where_Are_You_Now_(Jimmy_Harnen_%26_Synch_song)#cite_note-1\">[1]<\/a><\/sup>), and keyboardist Chuck Yarmey. Although not the &#8220;official&#8221; lead vocalist for the group, Harnen was afforded the chance to sing lead on his own composition. <a href=\"http:\/\/en.wikipedia.org\/wiki\/Where_Are_You_Now_(Jimmy_Harnen_%26_Synch_song)\" target=\"_blank\" rel=\"noopener noreferrer\">&#8220;Where Are You Now&#8221;<\/a> was first released on the independent label Micki Records in 1986. After receiving local airplay in the Wilkes-Barre market, Synch got signed to Columbia Records, and &#8220;Where Are You Now&#8221; was re-recorded and re-released as a single, later also appearing in a live version on Synch&#8217;s lone album,&nbsp;<em>&#8230;Get the Feelin&#8217;<\/em>. By the time this album was recorded, only Harnen and Yarmey remained from the original line-up, with Harnen now the lead vocalist.<sup id=\"cite_ref-2\" class=\"reference\"><a href=\"http:\/\/en.wikipedia.org\/wiki\/Where_Are_You_Now_(Jimmy_Harnen_%26_Synch_song)#cite_note-2\">[2]<\/a><\/sup>&nbsp;The single only peaked at #77 on the&nbsp;<a title=\"Billboard Hot 100\" href=\"http:\/\/en.wikipedia.org\/wiki\/Billboard_Hot_100\"><em>Billboard<\/em>&nbsp;Hot 100<\/a>, leading to the band being dropped from Columbia.\n\n<hr>\n\n<strong>EXTRA<\/strong>\n\nMadlymedia\u2019s success can be attributed to the fact that podcasting is an extremely successful means of reaching the public. Donnelly is such an authority in the field of podcasting that he has been quoted and&nbsp;mentioned in <a href=\"http:\/\/www.amazon.com\/Tricks-Podcasting-Masters-Rob-Walch\/dp\/0789735741\/ref=sr_1_2?ie=UTF8&amp;qid=1415555153&amp;sr=8-2&amp;keywords=rob+walch\" target=\"_blank\" rel=\"noopener noreferrer\">Tricks of the Podcasting Masters<\/a> by Rob Walch and Mur Lafferty.
